Biography
Barbara Schwarz,a Dominican Sister of Amityville, believes that it is through the arts one can KNOW the depths of one's heart. Her art is passionate and vibrant with color. Creativity and integration marks her preaching. Her art is prolific in form and style -- from clay and wood, to paint, mandalas, strappo, and graphics on the computer.
Education
Barbara has an MA in Scripture from Providence College and a certificate from Salve Regina's Institute for Healing through the Expressive Arts. A past president of DIA, she was the artist articulator for the first Federation Convocation.
Career
Her workshops on Art as Meditation are alive with surprises, as are her retreats.
